Alright, so things are slowly falling into place for this campaign. As I have read through the rules, I have realized a few things and here is what I have to say.
The campaign will most likely last a few months. Like 2-4 is my prediction. This campaign also relatively high maintenance, meaning that you have to check the boards at least one every 1-2 days and always on the day the moves are declared.
So, what Im here to say, is that if you think you will be strapped for time this summer or during beginning of fall (We'll make sure it ends before mid-terms), you should consider backing out. This looks like a nuts-ton of fun, but only if EVERYONE participates. If one person checks the boards only once a week, things will advance much slower than they should. For example, it is entirely possible that all moves from a particular week take only a few moments to process and begin the next turn because no fights are scheduled (which is possible). If this said person only checks the boards once a week, we cannot advance until the next week. This would suck.
So if you think this is too hardcore or geeky for you, don't feel bad about dropping out. I, personally, would MUCH rather someone back out now then in a month like a pansy. That being said, Id also much rather you stay on board and participate! This is gonna be fun!

In fact guys, this is one of the most important things. The more regularly people are on here, the more we can keep this moving. That doesn't mean we have to have a super fast pace, but once we start the idea is that as soon as we're done we can move onto the next turn. These boards can take the place of bi weekly meetings, but we need to use them. Like Blane said though, we aren't trying to point fingers or anything, but just make sure people know what they are getting into, and what we're going to expect.

if we want to use my site, I can do more work on it. So far I've got a nice code for creating banner orders that ppl can submit, and it will only get publicly displayed at 'x' that they decide.. which of course would be our set time limit (ie every monday at midnight.. or wtv). i've also installed a nice image viewer to create a map for every turn as territories change hand and empires are shaped. I'm now currently working on a league/ladder system just for kicks, in case one day I want to create an online competition for the hobby. So if we want to make use of it, my testing site is at nodice.uuq.com. I can add anything else that we might need. In the future if this is a hit, i'd love to grow it into a nice montreal community of good players, and use the site to host multiple campaigns, leagues and even tournaments. anyways, just give me your thoughts, otherwise i'll just continue to develop it on my spare time. right now I'm mainly focusing on content and will then finalize the outline & gfx when I have a few days to dedicate myself to photoshop
