so, do we want to use siege scenarios during the campaign? It would only come into play when you fight in an HQ territory, and I think it would be cool but I don't know if anyone has a fortress.
I read the rules, and there isn't any guidelines if you want to make your own. So I've been jotting down a few sketches, browsing the internet for inspiration to build an elven castle. But should we make some regulations? Like do we allow draw bridges, moats, multiple stories & multiple walls (inner, outer), cliffs, mountain sides etc?
I think it's be cool for to each have an army-specific HQ, and with the campaign 2 months away, gives us all enough time to at least build them. Anyways, I just wanted input, cause I for sure will make one for my WE.. but with more of a HE inspiration. I also want to build some boats, but that's another thing for another time hehe.

Well, I know Brow would have one already. he bought the store one. But I wont be building any. Too much trouble for something that is barely used.
I'll look at howit affects the game. Personally, I would have thought that it would be better in a hardcore campaign where banner sizes can change. EI: You storm a castle with 4000pts and its defended with 2000. Now thats a game. But 2250pts vs 2250pts +castle?...doesnt sounds like fun.

yes, blane brings up an excellent point, so we could modify the rules slightly. Maybe allow, just for HQ territories, multiple banners to hit it at once.
Siege rules state it's usually a ratio of 1:0.5 attackers:defenders. Since and HQ can only have 1 banner at the times, plus 200 (i think it's 200) for fortified, maybe make it a max of 2 or 3 banner total that could attack a fortress?
I haven't seen too many siege scenarios, but fortresses seem to be placed in the middle of the board with a min of 24" from the board edges. I would probably need to be played on a 4x8.. so we looking at no wider that 24" by 48".. though i'd suggest 24x24 in order to be playable on a 6x4

Like Blane mentionned, I have a fortress and if people want to borrow it for the campaign I don't have a problem with that.

In reply to Brow: Cool, I'll help you build it if you like.
In reply to Ptime: I think 2 banners max would keep things interesting. 3 banners on one seems kind of an overkill. I mean you may as well not have the game and concede. And anyhow, you would need 6750pts to play that out. 4500pts is already hard enough for 2 banners. I think only half of us can do that. I know Dan can if hes using deamons and I can as well. Cowboy could maybe pull it off. But it wont be possible for Brow, Shoe and You. (sorry if you pulled a couple thousand points out your asses and I forgot to count them). So Im not sure if this would be fair.

I'm bringing my Dwarfs with me to Calgary so by the time I come back it should all be built. If its the case, i'll have close to 3000points. Leaving this sunday and coming back in a month.
